The Least Deserving Of All

© 1996, Foxy!

From the moment that we enter this poor, corrupted Earth
We're taught mankind's a wonder from that moment of birth
The real truth beneath, they've learnt to disguise
As we grow older, feeding us lies

But there comes that point in all of our lives
When we close our ears and look with our eyes
Realise what they said, do they think me a fool ?
Where we are today is not deserved at all.

They consider their science a wondrous gain
Ignoring those creatures' whose cries of pain
echo around the white lab-coated few
injecting their poisons to see what they do

Medicine's one thing mankind must adore
Increasing their life-span, just so there's more
Not listening to nature's whispering call
They deem themselves divine Godlike, far above all.

Crowding this planet like a bleeding sore
Fighting over land by religion and war
And when they run out of land for to colonise
They lift their heads upwards and look to the skies

I watch this planet through narrowed eyes
Seeing one species I loath and despise
They hold this, our Earth, under their pall
And they can't stop 'til they have it all.

A species so foul that it seeks to employ
Weapons of violence with which to destroy
Any poor creature which crosses its tracks
Hunt to extinction, no turning back.

They hunt down their prey with horses and gun
Rejoice as their victims doth turn tail and run
A mindless cruelty to shock and apall
'Man' but surely not 'Kind' at all

They've raped this land - invaded it's shores
Taking their fill with industrial wars
So fierce in greed, lacking morals or heart
Caring not for this planet they've taken apart

I can only pray others will take on this oath
To rid our land of it's cancerous growth
Before it's too late and this whole world does fall
To this one foul species - least deserving of all!
