FIRE & FUR GUIDELINES AND POLICIES. Fire & Fur APA is a twice-yearly closed-circuit APA, dedicated to the showcasing and discussing of anthropomorphic artwork and stories. Fire & Fur APA carries an R rating content-wise, allowing for the showing of nudity, but not of sexual acts. All members must be 18 years or older in age. Fire & Fur APA is published roughly every 6 months, allowing for extra time here and there due to unforeseen circumstances. Fire & Fur APA is not sold publicly, all copies being available only to members. In the past, Fire & Fur APA has run public issues, sold at conventions. This will be something for the group as a whole to discuss, with the possibility of a public Fire & Fur next year. Membership to Fire & Fur APA is limited to 20 slots. If all of these are filled, new members will be held on a waiting list, and informed at such a time as a position becomes available. There is no membership fee, however, members wishing a copy of any issue of Fire & Fur are requested to pay a fee of 5 dollars US, to cover printing and postage. MinAc (Minimum Activity) for Fire & Fur is 4 pages per member, including any comments pages. Members who consistently do not meet this requirement will (unless a valid reason is provided) be removed from their member status. (This only applies at such a time as all 20 positions are filled.) MaxAc is 20 pages, including comment pages. Because Fire & Fur APA is a closed-circuit publication, works in progress, pencils (providing a decent copy can be sent to the editor) and other "unfinished" pictures are fine, as well as finished works. In the case of extremely rough artworks, if they will not reproduce, the creator will be contacted and informed that said piece will not be usable. As Fire & Fur APA is intended as a ground for discussing anthropomorphic art and stories, please try to keep a high percentage of work as original, unpublished elsewhere pictures. Pictures that have been seen elsewhere and online previously detract from the discussion side of the APA. The editor reserves the right to remove any submissions (including personal comments) if there are grounds to due to material of a trouble-making nature, such as personal attacks, or political or religious propaganda. All contributions that are not emailed should be sent on 8.5x11 paper, unfolded, with approx. 1 inch borders around the work, for reproducing purposes. All material should be photocopied and not original work, and all copies should be of a good printing quality. Contributions of an even number of pages allow for easier compiling of an issue, without the need for blank pages filler art between members' work. Back issues may be available for members joining and wishing to see previous issues. This will only be available from issue #12 onwards, and there will only be a small number of extra copies made of any one issue. Covers to Fire & Fur APA will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Cover artwork should contain the title "Fire & Fur", the issue number, the sub-title of "Anthropomorphic Adventures Through the Wildside" and finally "A Diehard/Lazy Fox Studios Production". If cover artwork is received without these, the artwork will be reduced in size to allow placement of the text by the editor. New members are always welcome. If someone you know is interested in contributing, invite them to send along artwork and/or text work, either by email or snailmail.
